Paul has long had a great affection and passion for our community. Having spent a part of his childhood in Ward 6, attended primary school and later purchased his first home here, he's proud to have had the opportunity to serve our community on City Council.
Paul remains staunchly committed to Sustainable Growth, Environmental Stewardship, Inclusivity and Economic Vibrancy for the City of Kitchener. During his time on Council, Paul has continuously participated in various activities to help foster a stronger, more vibrant Ward 6 community. Among his efforts has been to improve Ward 6 Trails and Parks. The establishment of the well received “Cinema Under the Stars” community movie event. Creating the Ward 6 In Bloom Certificate of Recognition Program. Provided support for the creation of community gardens In Erinbrook, Country Hills and Alpine Neighbourhood.
With a strong background in Institutional Mortgage Finance and Business Development, Paul has shown an unparalleled commitment to innovation to realize savings, capture efficiencies and eliminate wasteful spending. To this end, he championed for the City of Kitchener sponsorship strategy to create new revenue sources, advocacy and support for collaborative partnerships with public-private sector partners to the cause of economic development, creation of affordable housing and reducing the burden on taxpayers.
